Sample Sale FAQ's

Do I need to make an appointment? During sample sales we do not take appointments. Assistance is available on a first- come, first- served basis.

How many dresses can I try on? In an effort to be fair and efficient, each bride is limited to trying on 6 gowns at a time. If you reach your limit during your session, but wish to continue to try on gowns, you may add your name to the list again.

Can I bring guests? You are always welcome to bring guests! However, due to the fast- paced nature of sample sales, we ask that you bring no more than three guests. If you wish to bring more than 3 guests please contact us at (503)-796-9170 and we would be happy to discuss your options.

Do you serve champagne at sample sales? Unfortunately we do not serve champagne at sample sales.

Are all sales final? Yes, all sales are final. There are no returns or exchanges. Additionally we require:

  • full payment upon the purchase of a sample gown.
  • the purchased gown must go home with you.

Can I put a gown on hold? Unfortunately we do not hold gowns during sample sales.

What kind of discount will I get? The discounted amount will depend on the condition of the sample gown. While some of our samples are in pristine condition, others may have a little more wear-n-tear. Keep in mind all sample gowns will need alterations. The most common defect of sample gowns are:

  • missing hook and eye
  • broken zippers
  • missing buttons or rhinestones
  • small tears

What sizes are your sample gowns? Typically we order our sample gowns in a bridal size 10 or 12. Keep in mind that each designer's sizing varies. If you are significantly smaller than the sample, no need to worry! A seamstress can take in a wedding gown 4-6 dress sizes! If the gown is a little snug on you, there are options as well. Depending on how much the dress allows, a seamstress may be able to let out the side seams. If the dress needs to be let out more than the seams allow, you can also consider having a seamstress put in a corseted back.
