DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?
It is always recommended that you set up an appointment to guarantee being able to try on gowns. We are full service salon and have very talented consultants that will guide you throughout the process. Saturdays are by appointment only.
SHOULD I BRING ANYTHING TO MY CONSULTATION?
You are not required to bring anything with you to your consultation. Most women will opt to bring a strapless bra and shape wear. We do have bustiers and slips that are available to try on with gowns.
DO YOU HAVE SAMPLES IN MULTIPLE COLORS AND SIZES?
There is one sample per gown available to try on here at AniA, typically in bridal size 8-12. We have each sample gown in one color only in store but most times, the gown will be available to order in different color options.
Your consultant will assist you into the gown, often clipping it into place to show how it will fit when it is in your size. She will be able to go over the color options as well.
DOES ANIA CARRY PLUS SIZE SAMPLES?
Yes! Ania bridal carries sample gowns from the Curve Collection by WToo with sizes ranging from 16-20. You can view the samples we have in store here!
I NEED A GOWN SOON. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?
While your options will be more limited, there is still a perfect dress to be found! Some designers offer a rush upon approval, others anticipate certain styles and sizes to be in stock, and we sell our discontinued gowns off the rack. Your consultant is prepared to take you through the process, and remember - it’s never too soon.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I ORDER MY WEDDING GOWN?
It’s never too soon to place an order for the gown of your dreams! It can take up to six months for your dress to arrive, and allowing two months for alterations will enable the smoothest process.
DO YOU HAVE FLOWER GIRL DRESSES?
We carry a small selection of flower girl dresses in store from Seahorse by Watters, Sweet Pattis from Pattis Bridal, and US Angels. We are able to order anything you see online from these designers. You do not need an appointment to look at these dresses in store, however, if you plan on bringing your child in to try on dresses, we prefer that you do so on a week day.
CAN I STORE MY GOWN AT ANIA?
Absolutely! While it is not required, we recommend storing your gown with us up until the day before the wedding. This way you can meet with your alterations specialist here, and alleviate any fears of pets or fiancés finding it.
DOES ANIA BUY, CONSIGN, OR RENT WEDDING GOWNS?
Unfortunately AniA does not buy back wedding gowns, nor do we rent our samples. We recommend that you either consign your gown to our friends at Richele Kay or donate your gown to either Adorned in Grace or Brides for a Cause. If you have a smaller bridal gown budget we would also recommend you visit these salons as we are not familiar with any local businesses that rent wedding gowns.
WHAT ARE THE PERKS OF BEING AN ANIA BRIDE?
At our full service salon, you can relax knowing that everything will be taken care of for you. You will be paired with a consultant who will put you at ease throughout the entire process, from guiding you to the perfect dress right up until the day you wear it. All AniA brides receive a 15% discount on additional purchases – veil, sash, jewelry and other accessories, and a discount is generously passed along to the bridal parties.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY "ANIA EXCLUSIVE DESIGNER"?
Ania Bridal carries 9 designers that you can't find anywhere else in Oregon! These designers are Alvina Valenta, Calla Blanche, Eddy K, Lazaro, Tara Keely, Ti Adora, Theia Couture, Truvelle, and Watters & Watters.
HOW MANY GUESTS SHOULD I BRING?
It is highly recommended to keep your party small (up to five) to have a more successful experience as multiple opinions can be overwhelming for the bride. Please inform us of large parties when booking your consultation as we are a small boutique with limited space.
CAN I BRING CHAMPAGNE?
You are more than welcome to bring your own champagne, however we do offer it complimentary! If you decide to bring your own champagne all that we ask is you do not bring a rosé or orange juice. No food is allowed inside AniA.
HOW LONG WILL MY CONSULTATION LAST?
An hour and a half will be allotted for your bridal consultation and second appointments are always encouraged.
CAN MY BRIDESMAIDS TRY ON GOWNS DURING MY APPOINTMENT?
Typically we recommend that you make a separate appointment for your girls to come back and try on dresses. We find that it is difficult to pick out bridesmaids gown when you haven't found your gown yet. However, we understand that some guests come from out of town to attend your appointment as bridesmaids. In some cases, we can allow your guests to try on bridesmaids gowns towards the end of your appointment if time allows. It is easier to do this if your appointment is on a weekday as you are strictly limited to 90 minute appointments on Saturdays.
CAN MY GUESTS TAKE PHOTOS DURING MY APPOINTMENT?
We encourage our brides to wait until the end of their appointment to take photos in their top 3 or 4 favorite gowns.
WHAT IS A TRUNK SHOW?
AniA features trunk shows throughout the year from an array of designers. This is an opportunity for brides to explore a new collection, trying on gowns that we will only have in store for a limited time. We are often able to offer a discount on the designer whose gowns are being showcased.
WILL I NEED ALTERATIONS AND DO YOU DO ALTERATIONS IN HOUSE?
Alterations are required to achieve the most perfect fit. Your consultant can recommend one of our top specialists when your gown arrives, and you will then be in direct contact with her. This alleviates any unnecessary confusion caused by a third party arranging alteration appointments. Most of our recommended specialists will conveniently meet with you at the boutique on weekdays, though you are in no way obligated to do so.
CAN I ORDER A GOWN YOU DO NOT HAVE IN-STORE?
If it is from a designer’s collection we currently carry, then often the answer is yes. Your consultant will be able to assist you with this process.
